International Day

Yesterday we had International Day at school. It is an event mostly run by the parents, they all set up stalls promoting their home countries displaying artifacts, pictures and most importantly food! The children learn Anthems or dances or other songs from their countries and perform them in a big show. Everyone wears something from theor country. I have some great photos of the kids but I might send them around by email. I dressed up as Murray, the red Wiggle....

It was a really great day, I was forever counting children as there were hundreds of parents and visitors there, plus the thousand JPS children all wanting a look in, I ate so much food I don't think I'll need to eat for a week.

A few things

I have just changed my blog so you have to do one of those letter identification things before you comment, I seem to be getting quite a few bulk comments so hopefully that will stop now.

Unfortunately the screen on our camera had a bit of an accident so I am cameraless at the moment. I have a few pics in reserve so I will be able to post these. Hopefully we will have it fixed fairly soon.

Tomorrow is International Day at school, a celebration of our home countries, it is meant to be great and I am really looking forward to it! I will borrow someones camera so I can post some snaps.

My New MP3 Player

The other day Zadok and I went to Wafi to spend the gift voucher that my students parents gave me at the end of last term. I bought an MP3 player. It is very cute, it fits about 70 songs on it.

Yummmmm.... Subway...

We have been ordering Subway every now and then (they deliver) it's the only take away Zadok will eat. We have not however tried out this sub....

Nipper and Pebbles

Here is a pic of the dog and cat we are baby sitting at the moment. Nipper is very cute but I feel a bit sorry for him being locked up in our apartment all day with noone to play with. He is used to living with kids, so I think he gets a bit lonely. They are leaving for Australia in about two months I think.

It's not that I am Lazy...

I have got some photos to put up, but I just cant seem to be bothered. I've had a week of school with the kids and it's been great. Zadok is at sea today with someone elses vessel. I have been doing the usual, gym, pool etc. Everyone is coming round tonight for a party, should be fun. Will post some pics later in the week I am sure...

Back in Dubai

Well here I am back in Dubai, and also back at work. The last few days have been great, Zadok had a lot of time off, only working a few hours a day and having all of Friday off. So we swam and ate and all that good stuff.

I have a bad cold now and I feel it is because I am allergic to work.... Or maybe it is to do with a long flight and all that. My internet is not working at home and I haven't got my school computer yet so evertone will have to be patient with my lack of emails. As soon as I can be i will be back in communication.
