ok, ok, I'll comment. Notice how although arabic writing goes right to left, the arabic number go in the same direction as the numbers written with european digits. And the arabs invented that system of writing numbers. European numbers are backwards.

Whenever the numbers are written directly above European numbers, the arabic number goes left to right, ie speed signs.
Do they ever go right to left? It was my belief that they did not.
